San Diego’s Jewish community is being heard internationally.

A new article in The Times of Israel details how all San Diegan Jewish organizations are withdrawing from the San Diego Pride Festival due to it featuring the artist Kehlani, who has a history of promoting antisemitism

The article highlights how Kehlani, who is still scheduled to headline the festival after having been dropped by similar events at Cornell, New York, and San Francisco, has made comments calling for the “eradication” of Zionists and for the “globalization of the intifada.” Jewish groups such as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Jewish Federation of San Diego County cited these statements as part of a broader trend of antisemitism they have observed in activist spaces.

Be sure to read the coverage, share it, and if you haven’t already, join the coalition and help build a stronger and more inclusive San Diego.
