Antisemitism is on the rise—and San Diego's beautiful weather and picturesque landscape does not make it immune.
A new ABC 10News report highlights alarming new data from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) showing a record-breaking increase in antisemitic incidents across the country and here in San Diego. The segment details how San Diego County saw more than double the number of antisemitic acts in 2023 compared to the year before, as well as even more incidents in 2024.

Confronting Antisemitism in San Diego
From hateful flyers and harassment to acts of vandalism, these incidents are not isolated—they reflect a troubling trend that affects the entire community of San Diego.
"A lot of non-Jewish allies who are speaking up are starting to stand up with the Jewish community and say enough is enough” - Fabienne Perlov, ADL San Diego regional director
Now is the time for San Diegans to come together—across backgrounds, neighborhoods, and beliefs—to confront antisemitism and hate in a unified and impactful way. After all, antisemitism doesn’t only impact Jewish communities. It signals a broader erosion of safety, inclusion, and civic health for everyone. To that end, the coalition works to build bridges, foster education, and equip local leaders to stand tall and stand together.
